Mari Alkatiri, told supporters at FRETILIN’s office in Comoro on Tuesday: “ I myself in the campaign always speak Kalohan’s name and I now want to call and apologise to him if he is angry with me. The campaign is finished now and we all must join together to bring this country to a better future.”
Alkatiri also used the spotlight to draw attention to FRETILIN’s party’s loss in Oecussi, saying the voting margin was too narrow to stipulate it represented backlash against the multi-million dollar special Oecussi Economic Development Zone project he is head of.
