Police Calls for Clean-up of Election Campaign Material Featured

DILI: The Second Commander of national police has warned political parties they will be held responsible for the cleanup of campaign advertising at the close of the 22 July parliamentary election.

Euclides Belo said political parties must remove all banners and stickers in public places.

José Smith, from Dili Municipality administration, said some political parties had ignored guidelines for public advertising.

He said municipality security guards would remove all banners found in Lecidere and TasiTolu.
