With Parliamentary elections scheduled to be held in Timor-Leste by May 2023, CNRT President Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao said his party is committed to find ways to maintain development progress.
" The CNRT party has the vision for 30 years, we are the one holding the power then we will having the revision in four or five years to maintain the political stability that will guarantee there will be no thing happen to enhance its Development ahead for fix term " Xanana said in a CNRT statement.
Xanana criticised former President Francisco ‘Lu Olo’ Guterres for allegedly violating the nation’s
constitution law during his mandate from 2017.
Responding to whether he approved of the new President Jose Ramos Horta, Xanana said the CNRT party backed him and with President Ramos-Horta’s leadership the alleged violations have been corrected.
"The CNRT party is the political party that lead the good transparent leadership in establishing the oriented development for Timor-Leste as we all know that the CNRT party is committed to have the free decision making for all people,” he concluded.
